I've said I was sorry three times now. Twice to Chuck and once to Sandy. They don`t respond. There are no open lines of communication.

Dear Chuck,
I'm very sorry that things went this far without you or someone else communicating with me. This very easily could have been worked out I think. It's unfortunate because I am just getting things going at ET and I'm am passionate about it. Perhaps I care too much. In any case, I wish you Carol, Cindy, Tomiko, Craig and everyone else there well. My sincere hope is that you will reconsider the decision to remove me as ET editor. We can work together Chuck. Think it over and thanks.
Best regards,
Tim Stewart

A sad day for TESOL Sandy. I'm more than happy to work with you, Chuck or anyone else and would hope that you will reconsider. Normally, in TESOL, people mentor others and that means communicating to them about behaviour they see as acceptable, or not. Immediate dismissals (or giving a student a grade of F) without warning or some kind of probationary period and without clear charges or evidence being presented are unusual. I think we can work together and I want to try to hold this ship together. People are resigning right and left here. Let's talk about it. Work out the difficulties. I'm perfectly willing to examine any of my own flaws. I've apologized to Chuck previously as he may have thought that I overstated things but everything needs to be viewed within the context. ET editors feel under siege. All we want is to protect the integrity of the 'flagship publication' of TESOL and we want to work with Central Office and the Board to that effect. A little communication can go a long way. Please reconsider and thank you for your time.
Best regards,
Tim Stewart

Dear Chuck,
I understand we will have another conference call tomorrow and imagine it will be a more pleasant one than our first encounter. Sorry for ripping into you in my memo, but as I told you on the phone, my position was clear and I intended to make it and to win my point. That passion went into my memo. But that's all water under the bridge now. Let's get off on the right foot from this point and I look forward to a constructive and open working relationship. I'm not such a bad guy and doubt you are either (unless you are a Cardinals fan).
Go Tigers!
Tim
